The “Far Eastern Hectares” in Yakutia have become a destination for people from all over the world

A new attraction for Russian and foreign tourists has been created on the Verkhoyansk Range in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The ethnic center, located near the Kolyma Highway, was created thanks to the "Hectare" program. Daria Neustroeva, along with her brother and family, registered five "Far Eastern Hectares" in the Tomponsky District and built a tourist base. Guests come here for the picturesque nature, adventure, and unique atmosphere. Daria shared her story of participating in the program and her plans for developing the "Odo" tourist center.

"I wanted to take the land and do something more than just go to work five days a week. I wanted to find a dream. This goal emerged when the “Hectare” program launched. I've always loved the mountains and noticed that almost all my friends travel to the Caucasus without even realizing the beauty that lay nearby. We began a challenging search for that perfect plot of land that would become our home and our business. In 2023, we found that spot – right off the federal highway to Magadan, not far from the Vostochnaya Khandyga River," says Daria Neustroeva.

"The story of Daria Neustroeva and her ethnocenter, “Odo”, is a vivid example of how the “Far Eastern Hectare” can become more than just a piece of land, but a true place of power and a magnet for tourists from all over the world. Today, we are seeing a steady increase in interest in the tourism development of 'hectares': approximately 7% of program participants are already choosing this business area, and in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), this figure is the highest in the Far East at 17%," noted Yulia Tishchenko, Director of the FEDC's Department for the “Hectare” Program.
