According to the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (FEDC), 71,132 families were able to purchase or build their own housing in the Far East with a loan at a preferential rate not exceeding 2% per annum. The total amount of loans issued exceeded 300 billion rubles. The high dynamics of issuing targeted loans provided significant support to the construction industry in the region. “Far Eastern Mortgage” ranks first among preferential mortgage programs in terms of demand from Far Eastern borrowers - today it accounts for 80% of mortgage loans issued in the region. The program creates a stable demand for primary housing and stimulates the development of the construction industry in the Far East. If at the start of the program the volume of housing being built annually in the Far East was 2.3 million square meters. m., but now, after 3.5 years, developers are already building more than 4.1 million square meters. m,” said Sergey Potanin, Director of the Social Projects Department of the FEDC. He also emphasized that the most important decision is to extend the program until 2030, which will have a positive impact on the construction industry. For the construction of individual housing, banks issued 8.96 thousand loans totaling over 45 billion rubles. The average amount of a loan for individual housing construction in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District is 5.0 million rubles.
