The Russia-China Forum, which will be held in Khabarovsk on May 19–20, will feature more than 30 thematic platforms, business and cultural events dedicated to cooperation between the two countries in various areas. The forum is expected to bring together more than a thousand representatives of business, government agencies and creative industries. The operator is the “Roscongress” Foundation.
"We live and work in a very difficult time - geopolitical instability, large-scale restructuring of the world. During this period, it is especially important to strengthen good-neighborly ties. Relations between Russia and China are at the highest level in history and continue to develop. Preservation and development of time-tested friendly ties between the countries is a necessary condition for maintaining stability in the world and human security. China is Russia's main economic partner in the Far East.
In the preferential regimes of the Far East with the participation of Chinese capital, 58 projects with a total investment volume of over 1 trillion rubles are being implemented. These include such projects as the construction of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex with an investment volume of over 890 billion rubles, a number of other large projects in the field of agriculture, logistics and construction. In 2022, the Amur and Jewish Autonomous Regions were connected with Heilongjiang Province by two new bridges: Blagoveshchensk-Heihe and Nizhneleninskoye-Tongjiang. I am convinced that in the near future the number of joint projects in the economy, sports, and culture will grow," emphasized Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.
The Russian-Chinese forum will be held under the motto "Bolshoy Ussuriysky: cooperation in the joint development of the island." Its program will cover a wide range of issues: from industrial cooperation, ecological transport, tourism and trade to youth exchanges and intercultural communication.
