More than 150 courtyards will be built or improved in the Far East in 2025 using funds from the Unified Subsidy

Systematic improvement of residential areas continues in the Far East under the "Far Eastern Courtyards" program. Overall, at least 155 courtyards are planned for construction or improvement in the Far Eastern Federal District by 2025 as part of social development programs for economic growth centers. The "Far Eastern Courtyards" program is funded by the Unified Presidential Subsidy of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, and its implementation is coordinated by the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).

In the Far East, improvements to residential areas are being carried out with consideration of local residents' opinions and in collaboration with municipal authorities. To improve the quality of program implementation, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation have prepared a methodological guide containing a step-by-step roadmap for regional teams. The document summarizes best Russian improvement practices, including the experience of Moscow, Tatarstan, and other regions of the country.

Grigory Smolyak, Director of the Department of Social Development at the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East: "The 'Far Eastern Courtyards' program has become one of the most significant projects in the region's improvement; these activities are included in master plans and other strategic development documents for Far Eastern cities. We see how the joint efforts of residents, municipalities, and development institutions are making Far Eastern cities more comfortable, modern, and attractive. Importantly, residents themselves participate in the design of their courtyards, meaning each such space reflects the real needs of people in a given, specific location."
