More than 1,000 people receive monthly “Far Eastern hectares” as their property free of charge
The implementation of the “Hectare” program in the Far East was discussed by representatives of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (FEDC) and authorized authorities responsible for providing land plots to citizens.
Yulia Tishchenko, Head of the FEDC Department for the implementation of the “Hektar” program, presented statistics on the demand for land plots and spoke about the key types of land use. So, today the leaders in demand for "Far Eastern hectares" are Primorsky Krai - 31 thousand people took plots here, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) - 20 thousand people, and Khabarovsk Krai - 15 thousand people, and in total in the Far East about 120 thousand people received the land. 39% of recipients of "hectares" chose individual housing construction, 34% - agriculture, 15% - entrepreneurship, 9% - tourism and 3% - other activities.
The “Hektar” program has been operating in the Far East since 2016, and since August 2021, it has been extended to the territory of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The land is provided free of charge and the application can be made online.
