According to the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), 10 559 participants in the Special Military Operation (SMO) and employees of the defense industry sector were able to purchase or build their own housing in the Far East and the Arctic using a loan at a preferential rate of no more than 2% per annum. Among the specialists who received the loan, the share of defense industry employees was 6,309 people, and participants of the SMO - 4,250 people. In total, more than 163 thousand families and specialists took part in the program. The total amount of loans issued was 797 billion rubles.
Sergey Potanin, Director of the Department of Social Projects of the FEDC: “The extension of the “Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgage” to employees of the military-industrial complex and participants of the SMO is an effective measure to support those who guard the security of our country. We see that such an initiative has met with growing demand. It is noteworthy that 68% of employees of the military-industrial complex who received mortgages are from the Arctic, and among the participants of the SMO who took out a loan at a preferential rate, 89% are from the Far East.”
