An animated series from Komsomolsk-on-Amur is coming to Okko

On November 27, the Okko online cinema will premiere the new animated series "Abduction." The project was created by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur studio "Zelenye Kamneezhki" (Green Stone Eaters) with the support of “Phoenix” Studio. On the premiere day, viewers will see the first two episodes. The story introduces schoolchildren Danila and Sergey, who live in the fictional town of Amurgrad in the Far East, based on Komsomolsk-on-Amur, and regularly encounter mystical events.

According to studio director Marina Nebozhatko, the first season includes twelve twelve-minute episodes each. New episodes will be released monthly. Production is planned for two to three seasons, with over forty specialists working on the project. "Abduction" is being developed as an adventure story with elements of mystery and a distinctive atmosphere that will immerse viewers in the characters.

In 2023, the “Green Stone Eaters” studio and the “Abduction” project received the “Special Jury Prize” at the “Animur” animation festival. The project also made it to the finals of the “Arctic Startup Expedition: Russian Far East and Arctic competition” in the Animation and Graphics category. The event was held in Khabarovsk with the support of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, and the Government of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
