At the Russian-Chinese economic forum "AmurExpo", which took place on May 24–26, 2024 in the cities of Blagoveshchensk and Heihe, a meeting was held between the Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov, the deputy chairmen of the regional Government Oleg Turkov and Pavel Puzanov with representatives of foreign delegations, business and the public. Leaders of the Amur region presented the results of the region's development and shared plans to further attract investors and create comfortable conditions for business. The event was attended by Nikolai Zapryagaev, Director General of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). He talked about why it is beneficial for investors to obtain the status of a resident of the “Amurskaya” ASEZ as soon as possible. Governor Vasily Orlov noted that a large number of investments are coming to the region thanks to large federal projects that are being implemented in the region under the patronage of President Vladimir Putin - the Vostochny Cosmodrome, the development of the Eastern Railway Test Site, the Amur Gas Processing Plant and the Amur Gas Chemical Complex. In addition, the governor emphasized that the Amur region and Heilongjiang province are leaders among other regions of Russia and China in the number of joint events - about 200 events are held in the humanitarian field.
