Alexey Chekunkov met in Vladivostok with a family who had been forced to move to Primorye from Mariupol

Head of the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East Alexei Chekunkov met with the Anikeev family from Mariupol, who moved to the Far East 10 months ago. Today, the head of the family, Alexander Anikeev, is preparing to start a career at Russian Railways. In Mariupol, he led a team of 120 people at a metallurgical plant. His wife Yana is a recruiter for a large food company. Their son, ninth-grader Sasha, is preparing to study at the Far Eastern Federal University at the Faculty of Economics. The family is determined to live in Primorye permanently.

According to the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, more than 3.2 thousand people, who were forced to leave the territories of Ukraine, the DPR, and the LPR, arrived in the Far East. Of these, about 800 people became participants in the State Program for the Resettlement of Compatriots. Over 900 people have already been employed.
