Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic Alexey Chekunkov visited the expositions of the Far Eastern Federal District regions, located on the embankment of Ajax Bay on Russky Island as part of the “Far East Street” exhibition. The exhibition is traditionally held on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum. The second book, “Time of Discoveries,” is about the oil and gas history of the region from the first wells explored in Soviet times to the present day. In the pavilion of the Zabaikalsky Region, the head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East studied stands on the development of deposits, including gold mining and Udokan Copper, and the progress of investment projects. Special attention was paid to the implementation of master plans for cities and the development of the tourism industry. Deputy Chairman of the Amur Region Government Pavel Puzanov presented the Minister with a project for the embankment of the city of Blagoveshchensk, which is in the active stage of construction on both the Russian and Chinese sides. It is planned that the project will be implemented by the end of 2025. Kamchatsky Region sent guests on a virtual tourist journey around the region. By putting on a VR helmet, you can visit key tourist sites, see unique natural locations and get acquainted with the work of comfortable hotels. Primorsky Region focused on attracting investors and on cooperation with countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The implementation of the project to build the “Artem” transport and logistics center was discussed with the minister. This center will service railway and transport traffic, including interregional and intercity transportation. The exposition of the Republic of Buryatia widely presents locally produced handicrafts: leather goods, ceramics, wood, metal, exquisite national jewelry, clothing by Buryat designers, sweets and teas. Khabarovsk Krai presented technological breakthroughs using the latest and most promising aircraft as an example. In virtual reality mode, guests of the Forum will be given a tour of the Su-57 and Su-75 aircraft. The pavilion "Developing the Far East" of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic introduces the possibilities of the largest macro-region of Russia. In an interactive format, thematic multimedia expositions "Travel", "Study", "Work" and "Live" present the dynamics of the development of the economy and Far Eastern cities, opportunities for obtaining higher and professional education, tourist routes and hospitality facilities. Information is also provided here on the mechanisms of state support for entrepreneurs investing in the economy of the macro-region, and socially significant programs aimed at improving the quality of life of people, operating in the Far East.
