The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Khabarovsk Region, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, the Embassy of China in the Russian Federation, and the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province, as well as the leadership of interested Russian companies.
"The regions of the Russian Far East and Heilongjiang Province are key strategic partners, linked by long-standing ties of friendship, good neighborliness, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Russia accounts for 76% of Heilongjiang Province's foreign trade, and our trade turnover is expected to increase by 2025. Investment cooperation between Russia and China is actively developing. Ninety-three projects with Chinese investors are already being implemented in the Far Eastern Federal District, with an investment volume of approximately 1 trillion rubles," said Vitaly Altabaev
. As the Deputy Minister noted, a new special regime for industrial and technological cooperation in the Russian Far East—International Advanced Development Areas (IADAs)—will facilitate the growth of joint investment projects. IADA pilot sites have been identified and are located in areas bordering Heilongjiang Province.
