The festival of sound art and experimental music "Sound Around Kamchatka" has started in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The festival has been held in Kaliningrad since 2012, it is organized by the Baltic branch of the Pushkin Museum named after A.S. Pushkin. This year "Sound Around" started for the first time in the Far East. The events will run until October 2, 2022.

The festival will acquaint the residents of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky with the best examples of modern Russian music, sound and video art. It is important that the festival is done jointly with residents, local musical communities, cultural institutions and artists who come to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to implement completely different projects.

The “Sound Around Kamchatka” festival is held in partnership with the Government of the Kamchatka region and the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, with the support of the “Highland Gold” mining company, whose three enterprises are located in the Kamchatka region.
