14 universities will receive grants under the Far Eastern track of the “Priority 2030” program in 2026

Fourteen universities from nine regions of the Far Eastern Federal District will receive support in 2026 under the “Priority 2030” program. This decision was made by the Far Eastern Federal District Universities Evaluation Commission, chaired by the Minister of Education and Science of Russia, Valery Falkov, and the Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East, Alexey Chekunkov.

"The Far East track of the “Priority 2030” program remains a vital tool for creating powerful scientific and educational centers in the macro-region. University research and development should become a catalyst for the Far East's socioeconomic growth, and graduates should become the foundation for retaining highly qualified personnel in the Far Eastern Federal District," said Minister of Education and Science Valery Falkov.

The track participants are divided into three groups. Universities in the first group will receive support totaling approximately 160 million rubles. These include the V.R. Filippov Buryat State Agricultural Academy, Sakhalin State University, Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University, and Transbaikal State University.
