132 first-year students from 9 Far Eastern universities are already receiving the monthly stipend named after G.I. Nevelskoy established by the Russian Government

In November 2024, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, on behalf of the President of Russia, established personal monthly scholarships in the amount of 30 thousand rubles for first-year students of Far Eastern universities. Students from all regions of Russia who are enrolled in full-time education at universities in the Far Eastern Federal District, who have received 100 points in one or more subjects of the Unified State Exam, or who are winners and prize winners of All-Russian Olympiads can apply for a scholarship. A new measure of state support for talented youth was named after Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy. It is paid in addition to scholarships and other forms of financial support for students available at universities. Today, 132 students in 9 universities of the Far East receive the G.I. Nevelskoy scholarships. The largest number of scholarship recipients are from two federal universities: Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU, Vladivostok, 82 recipients), and North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU, Yakutsk, 30 scholarship recipients). According to the Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Alexey Chekunkov, by the end of 2024, a significant increase in students from other regions of the country who entered Far Eastern universities was recorded.
