The preparatory period is coming to an end, during which we have created a central structure. This structure will provide methodological support for the activities of regional centers and coordinate their work. In fact, this is the headquarters for the implementation of the task set by the President. It will be headed by Admiral Sergei Iosifovich Avakyants, who until recently commanded the Pacific Fleet,” Yury Trutnev opened the meeting.
Twelve regions have been selected to host pilot centers for military sports training and patriotic education: Buryatia, Donetsk People's Republic, Kalmykia, Tatarstan, Chechen Republic, Khabarovsk, Belgorod, Kemerovo, Pskov, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen Regions and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the pilot centers will start working on May 11.
