On May 11, 12 centers for military sports training and patriotic education will start working in Russia

First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a meeting with the heads of regions in which, on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, pilot centers for military sports training and patriotic education will be organized.

“On September 20, 2022, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin instructed to create centers for military sports training and patriotic education of youth in pilot regions. The preparatory period is coming to an end, during which we have created a central structure. This structure will provide methodological support for the activities of regional centers and coordinate their work. In fact, this is the headquarters for the implementation of the task set by the President. It will be headed by Admiral Sergei Iosifovich Avakyants, who until recently commanded the Pacific Fleet,” Yury Trutnev opened the meeting.

Twelve regions have been selected to host pilot centers for military sports training and patriotic education: Buryatia, Donetsk People's Republic, Kalmykia, Tatarstan, Chechen Republic, Khabarovsk, Belgorod, Kemerovo, Pskov, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen Regions and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the pilot centers will start working on May 11.
