The application submission for the IV All-Russian competition for the best projects to create a comfortable urban environment for municipalities of the regions that are part of the Far Eastern Federal District has ended. In 2025, the municipalities of the Far Eastern Federal District prepared 103 applications; 54 winners will be selected from them, who will receive a total of 5 billion rubles from the federal budget, as well as funds from extra-budgetary financing. In the Far East, the work on the implementation of state programs and federal target programs aimed at the comprehensive renovation of cities in the Far Eastern Federal District is supervised by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).
Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Elvira Nurgalieva: "All applications underwent public discussions with residents - from the choice of territory to architectural solutions. These are projects that have received broad support. In the future, they will be assessed by experts in the field of architecture, urban development, economics, sociology and protection of cultural heritage. The key criteria are the quality of design solutions, preservation of the historical and natural environment, necessity, synchronization with national projects and state programs, as well as the expected socio-economic effect. I would like to especially note that 6 applications were submitted for master plan objects, and in general, in practice, the funds allocated for the winning projects become one of the sources of financing for objects within the framework of the implementation of master plans for cities in the Far Eastern Federal District."
