Yuri Trutnev made a report at the Federation Council as part of the “Government Hour”

The topic of the report is the priority areas of activity of the Russian Government for the socio-economic development of the Far East. Below are the main points of the report: “To date, 685 enterprises have been built with government support; investors have actually invested 3.4 trillion rubles in the economy… Most economic indicators of the Far East significantly exceed the Russian average. The growth of industrial production is 30% faster than the Russian average. We consider the creation of 125 thousand new jobs to be one of the most important results. It is important to note that the average salary at new enterprises, enterprises of residents of priority development territories and the free port of Vladivostok, is 38% higher than the Russian average... One of the most important tasks for us is to increase the population in the macroregion. This is the most difficult, strategic task. It is quite obvious that to change the direction of migration flows, it is necessary to change people’s living conditions, a change in psychology itself… What tools do we use to improve the lives of people in the Far East? This is a “Far Eastern mortgage”, which has already been used by 84 thousand families. The “Far Eastern Hectare” program, under which 125 thousand citizens received a plot of land for residential development and other activities. We have launched a program to allocate affordable rental housing at a three-fold reduction in rent. The first apartments will be ready in December 2023… Especially I would like to talk about the mechanism of the presidential Far Eastern subsidy. This is a flexible mechanism that allows you to quickly solve the most pressing problems of the regions. With the help of the subsidy, over the past four years, almost 1.6 thousand objects have been built and restored in 171 settlements of the Far East. In healthcare, these are 51 first aid stations and 17 hospitals. In education there are 16 schools and 8 kindergartens. These are 41 sports facilities and 27 cultural institutions. Kilometers of roads were built, 83 housing and communal services facilities were put in order, 197 units of public and technological transport were purchased… Dear Valentina Ivanovna, dear colleagues! The Russian Government will continue to fulfill the President’s instructions for the development of the Far East.”
