More than 3 thousand preferential housing loans have been issued in the Arctic

In the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF), the number of preferential loans issued under the housing lending program for young families at the minimum interest rate exceeded 3 thousand. The leaders in terms of the pace of implementation of the “Arctic Mortgage” are the Arkhangelsk Region, Krasnoyarsk Region, Murmansk Region and the Republic of Karelia. The average loan size in the Russian Arctic is 3.72 million rubles. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) supervise the implementation of the program. Director of the Department of Social Projects of the FEDC Sergei Potanin notes that the pace of issuing “Arctic mortgages” remains consistently high; now this figure is more than 200 loans per week. To date, 3,244 loans worth over 12 billion rubles have been issued in the Russian Arctic under the program. Today, both young families and teachers, doctors, participants in the “Hektar” and labor mobility programs, as well as employees of organizations in the military-industrial complex can take advantage of the program. The program is planned to be extended to participants in a special military operation and members of their families.
