Investors have invested almost 29 billion rubles in the region's economy and created more than 2.1 thousand jobs. “The main share among the residents of the Russian Arctic is small and micro businesses - out of 192 companies, more than 90% are SMEs, with almost a third of them implementing projects in the field of tourism. Investors, of course, are attracted by tax breaks and preferences. The most demanded are the compensation of insurance premiums in the amount of 75% and the receipt of a land plot without bidding. In addition - benefits on income tax, on property or on payment of the simplified tax system. A resident of the Russian Arctic who owns a land plot can also receive a land tax exemption,” said Alexander Shutov, director of the Murmansk FEDC. As a result of the discussion, a draft resolution was created for interaction between business and authorities and further appeal to the legislators of the Russian Federation.
