The “Roll” company, as a resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF), opened a family restaurant with cuisine of the indigenous peoples of the North in the city of Vorkuta in the Komi Republic. Under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the investor invested 2.3 million rubles.
"The restaurant menu is based on traditional cuisine of the Northern peoples and local products: fish, berries, venison. We cook pike, grayling, whitefish, use cloudberries, cranberries, lingonberries and much more. City residents have already expressed interest in our project. In the future, this may contribute to the development of tourism in the region," said Artem Semyashkin, director of the company. According to him, the successful launch of the project was facilitated by the preferential simplified tax system rate and 75% subsidization of insurance premiums available to residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation.
