The project for the construction of a complex for the production of liquid helium in Yakutia will receive support within the ASEZ regime.

During the Eastern Economic Forum, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and “DBB” LLC entered into a tripartite agreement on cooperation in the construction of a natural gas processing complex for the helium extraction. The helium complex is supposed to be created to ensure the sustainable development of Western Yakutia, as well as for the active development of infrastructure in the region. Gas produced by JSC ALROSA-Gaz, a subsidiary of ALROSA, will be used to extract helium. The start of pilot helium production is planned for 2025. It is planned to reach full production capacity in 2028. The complex will produce about four million cubic meters of helium per year, and the product will be supplied to the domestic market and to neighboring countries.
