At the plenary session of the Creative Industries Forum “Created in the Far East”, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Denis Kravchenko proposed that the Far Eastern regions form a delegation of experts in the field of creative industries to work as part of the State Duma expert council. Denis Kravchenko is the author of the draft federal law “On the Development of Creative Industries in the Russian Federation”, which was adopted by the State Duma of the Russian Federation on July 30, 2024.
The law was prepared in the context of the execution of the order of the President of Russia following the visit to the exhibition "Development of the Creative Economy in Russia". The law fixes a number of key concepts in the sphere of the creative economy and is aimed at creating conditions for the provision of systemic measures of state support for creative business. It identifies financial, material, educational, informational measures to support creative industries, and also provides conditions for infrastructure development. This includes creative clusters, information systems, property, and creative industries centers.
