The first 100 patients took advantage of a new type of examination at the Ulan-Ude Nuclear Medicine Center

A year ago, a Nuclear Medicine Center was opened in the priority development territory of Buryatia. Today, this is the only center in the Far East and the Baikal region that performs examinations using the fluorine-PSMA radiopharmaceutical. This technology allows for highly accurate primary diagnosis of prostate cancer. The center's capacity is 10 thousand examinations per year. Residents of any region of the Russian Federation can undergo examination at the center free of charge, within the framework of state guarantees, under the compulsory medical insurance policy. The Center for Nuclear Medicine in Ulan-Ude was created within the framework of a concession agreement with the government of the Republic of Buryatia with the support of financial institutions, as well as using the preferential regime of the ASEZ. This regime allowed the Center to receive a plot of land, as well as significant benefits - zeroing out taxes on profits, land, property, as well as a reduced rate of the single social tax of 7.6%. The cost of the project is more than a billion rubles, including funds from a unified Far Eastern subsidy from the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic in the amount of 400 million rubles.
