The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) has signed an agreement with the “Yuzhny Baikal” company. As a resident of the “Buryatia” priority development area, the company will create a tourism cluster on the shores of Lake Baikal near the village of Vydrino. All work on the construction of the new facility is planned to be completed in stages over four years, and the first guests will be received here as early as May 2026.
Hotels, SPA zones, separate guest villas and a panoramic restaurant will be built on the coastal section of Lake Baikal with an area of more than 8 hectares near the mouth of the Snezhnaya River by 2028. The hotel stock is designed for 60 rooms with a one-time accommodation of up to 220 people. The project also provides for strengthening the coastal strip and in the future - the construction of berths and a sea terminal, as well as a hangar for floating craft.
