In Kamchatka, as part of the implementation of the master plan (development of the regional capital), a creative cluster “ICRA” is being created

In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, work has begun on the restoration of a building in the historical part of the city on the Krasintsev street, 13, which is a cultural heritage site. According to the master plan for the development of the capital of Kamchatka, the building will become the central object of the new creative cluster “ICRA”. The concept of the Kamchatka creative cluster was presented in 2023 at the Eastern Economic Forum. Executive Director of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation for social development, Gasan Gasanbalaev, notes that the long-term comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was developed and approved first among other master plans for the cities of the Far Eastern Federal District. It is based on a strategy for the city’s economic growth, the creation of new jobs in modern industries, and the creation of social infrastructure. “ICRA” is an abbreviation for “incubator, coworking, residence, art gallery.” Thus, within the framework of the cluster in Kamchatka, a comprehensive creative environment, a new specialized urban space, will be created. The start of work at the site is an important practical step towards the implementation of one of the key projects in the city’s master plan,” said Gasan Gasanbalayev.
