New centers for processing agricultural products are being formed in the Far East

160 projects in agriculture and the food industry worth more than 210 billion rubles are currently being implemented in the Russian Far East using government support mechanisms. According to the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), more than 19 thousand new jobs are being created, of which 9.4 thousand jobs have already been created. Every third company implementing agricultural projects in priority development areas uses industrial sites provided with the infrastructure of the FEDC. The largest projects are being implemented in the Primorsky Region, Sakhalin, and the Republic of Buryatia. In particular, in Primorsky Region, a large pig-breeding complex has been built to produce 75 thousand tons of pork meat in live weight per year, a complex for the production of compound feed with a capacity of 300 thousand tons per year and an elevator with a capacity of 120 thousand tons. Two livestock complexes have been created on Sakhalin for 3.8 thousand heads of dairy herd to produce 33 thousand tons of milk and 358 thousand tons of meat per year. In the Republic of Buryatia, a breeding facility and a feeding ground for young cattle with a capacity of 15 thousand heads per year are being built. The enterprise's capacity is 2.2 thousand tons of beef per year.
