Small HPPs will provide power supply to the gold deposit of the AZRF resident in Chukotka
On the sidelines of the INNOPROM international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg, the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (FEDC) signed a four-party agreement on cooperation in the implementation of an investment project for the construction of local power supply sources based on small hydroelectric power plants for an industrial enterprise in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The total amount of investments in the implementation of the project aimed at providing local energy supply to the gold deposit is 5 billion rubles.
The signing parties were LLC “Generation”, “GoldArctic” and “Global Hydro Rus”. The initiator of the project, GoldArctic LLC, plans to mine alluvial gold in the Chukotka Autonomous District. The problem lies in the significant remoteness of the license area from the centralized energy infrastructure. LLC "Generation" will act as an investor in the creation of a local energy center. The company has extensive experience in implementing investment projects for the construction and operation of local energy sources in remote and isolated areas of the Far East and the Arctic. “Global Hydro Rus” LLC will provide technological support of the project.
