“Vitus Bering” Kamchatka State University is implementing the project "University of Pioneers" within the framework of the program "Priority 2030. Far East"
Olga Rebkovets, Rector of Vitus Bering Kamchatka State University: “We want our graduates to have unique competencies to work in the difficult geographical and climatic conditions of Kamchatka and the Far North. So that they can take responsibility and offer non-standard solutions to problems in extreme conditions. It is on such people that we must rely in the development of the Far East. Gaining experience in expeditions, obtaining additional qualifications during the familiarization of basic programs will help to prepare a reliable personnel reserve not only for the Kamchatka Region, but also for other regions of the Far Eastern Federal District.”
The goal of the regional program "Priority 2030. Far East" is to ensure the transformation of the universities of the Far Eastern Federal District, increase the availability of high-quality higher education, promote the employment of graduates, and contribute the socio-economic development of the Far East.
